Her 2:26.25 was 31 under her series and 18 too slow. The 5514 is a personal best, 44 clear of the 5470 she scored at Espoo in August last year.

Saima Kossa was fourth overnight and third at the end on 5409, 89 under her series. She had been 5 points up on it after the high jump, at 1.67 for 47 above her own, before 5.57 in the long jump took 102 back. Behind the medals, Eveliina Lehtola led three of the seven events and finished fourth 55 above her series with 5306, a personal best over the 5251 she scored at Tampere in May.
